Words That Should Exist But Don't

  • The feeling of taking off your socks after a long hard day and rubbing them under the cool sheets.
  • The feeling of having the right tool for the right job at the right time.1
  • The feeling of having packed something perfectly.2

Or as originally jotted down in our notebook in the Colorado rockies when everything was going just right - “I wish there were a word to describe ‘the feeling of satisfaction from using the right tools in the right situation’ or maybe ‘the feeling of satisfaction when your gear is fully dialed in.’ 

  2. Both in the physical sense (when an object fits into a container just perfectly) and the abstract sense - when everything is just perfectly/exactly appropriate
